Our Commitment to a Sustainable Future
At VICBAG, we firmly believe in our responsibility to contribute to a more sustainable world since creating our first bag in 1984.
As a manufacturer of reusable bags, our mission extends beyond merely producing practical, useful, and aesthetically pleasing bags and shopping trolleys. We are committed to minimizing our environmental impact at every stage of our production and distribution processes, while ensuring the social and economic well-being of our group and all our partners.
Our Eco-Friendly Materials
We take pride in using eco-friendly materials in the manufacture of our bags. Natural jute, 100% recycled cotton, 100% recycled woven and non-woven PP, and RPET, 80% recycled and recyclable, form the foundation of our products. These materials are chosen for their low environmental impact, underscoring our commitment to preserving our planet. Our recycled cotton is distinguished by an economical cleaning process that requires only one wash, thereby reducing water consumption compared to organic cotton. This choice underscores our commitment to minimizing environmental impact.
For the past 10 years, our group has embarked on manufacturing Biodegradable Corn Starch bags. These bags are 100% biodegradable within 3 months in contact with compost.
For all our bags, we offer also biodegradable and eco-friendly inks.
Continuous Improvement
Our collaboration with EcoVadis, a leader in sustainability assessment, underscores our commitment to continuous improvement. Thanks to their regular evaluations, we are consistently motivated to advance in our co-responsibility approach, aiming to enhance our practices and innovate for a greener future.
Thoughtful Logistics
Aware of the significant impact of carbon footprint from transport on the environment, we favor maritime transport over decarbonized road transport for our imports. This decision reflects our desire to reduce our fuel consumption and, consequently, our carbon footprint, thus affirming our commitment to protecting our Earth. For maritime transport, we prefer shipping on methane-fueled ships, and for road transport, we opt for electric trucks.
Our Social Responsibility
At the heart of our CSR approach is the well-being of people. Whether it’s our employees, our clients, or our partners, we strive to create an inclusive, fair, and safe environment for everyone. We believe in shared growth, where each contribution is valued, and social progress goes hand in hand with economic success.
During stock clearance periods, we destroy no bags. All our unsold bags are generously donated to student food pantries, restaurants with a heart, and a few other associations or schools.
